Time – An Elusive Element
We all talk about it, we all fret about it and it catches all of us in its elusive thread at some time or other, some more than others. I’m afraid I’m one of those who gets caught in it more than others and before I know it I’ve over extended myself to the point of overwhelm.
So, what has been eating up my time for the past few months?
For one thing I had committed to doing teleseminars for my new membership site. After starting them I soon realized that I needed more experience in the actual doing of teleseminars. I knew how, I knew what I was supposed to do, but I lacked the experience of actually having done it.
So I went on a quest to get experience doing teleseminars in an environment that would give me ample experience but not expose me too much professionally. Being a member of Toastmasters, I turned to that venue and volunteered to host a weekly teleseminar series for my District, District One.
Those have been very successful and have yielded the desired outcome. I now feel more confident in hosting teleseminars and will be resuming my membership teleseminars in October. For any of you who are not on the list to receive notification of those teleseminars, which are directed at speakers, writers, teleseminar leaders, Internet Marketers, coaches, or anyone wanting to create and market information products, please sign up to the right to receive notification.
I became committed to reading and learning everything I could about putting on teleseminars, from the scheduling of guests, marketing, and recording the teleseminar to the actual day of the hosting. I expanded my knowledge in that area and will be talking about those skills in upcoming blog entries.
In the meantime, I have kept up with my transcription business and in fact have expanded the services that we provide. I am also in the process of creating other products which you will see in the coming months and which will be directed to helping entrepreneurs create information products.
Have I conquered the elusive element of time? Something I have been attempting to do all of my professional life? Can any of us completely conquer it? Probably not. But I’m better and will bring that desire to all of my activities.
